Coach Ewing

This is Coach Ewing’s second year as a Pearce Mustang. He previously coached in Nacogdoches for 7 years. He is a proud graduate of Berkner High School and Stephen F. Austin University where he earned degrees in Composite Social Studies and Kinesiology.

Coach Ewing has sent swimmers to the state meet in Austin every year he has coached. He has also had multiple swimmers win medals at state, and has won district every year he has coached. Coach Ewing is the current District 8-6A Coach of the Year. As a teacher, Coach Ewing was named 2014 History Teacher of the Year for the State of Texas.

Coach Ewing enjoys trying new foods and restaurants, traveling, watching sports, and spending time with family and friends.


Assistant Coach Meager

Coach Meager is entering his fourth year teaching and coaching at Pearce. He is a graduate of Pearce High School and University of North Texas where he earned a degree in Applied Arts and Science.

Coach Meager grew up in a swimming family. He starting swimming with COPS, COR and finished his swimming career with ATAC with age groups records in the 400 medley relay, 800 free relay, and 200 medley relay. Coach Meager’s sister who is also a graduate of Pearce swam at UNLV and Trinity University.

Coach Meager enjoys spending time with his family, wife Loren and their two boys Jack and Arthur. In his free time he enjoys competing in triathlons.
